Description
An enema is a liquid treatment administered rectally to assist with bowel movements. It is primarily used to relieve constipation by cleansing the lower gastrointestinal tract. Additionally, it serves as a necessary “prep” to clear the colon before medical examinations like a colonoscopy, which screens for conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease or colorectal cancer.
This medication is for rectal use only and should be limited to one application per day.
